Newspaper Dress Up
This game is perfectly suited for any number of young people, just bare in mind that the more young people there are, the more materials you will need
The game is simple, split the young people into teams, as equal in numbers as possible.
Give each team a collection of Newspapers, rolls of tape, and some scissors. (Tape in dispensers removes the need for scissors)
Ensure a theme for the game is chosen before hand. Well known themes such as Disney, Superheroes, or Celebrities are a good choice. Once a theme is chosen, pick a number of people/characters from the theme, equal to the number of teams.
Secretly tell each team what their person/character is. The aim of the game is to dress a team member up as this character, without letting the other teams know who the character is.
Once all teams have finished dressing their team members, all the newspaper draped young people should gather together. Each team must then attempt to name who each of the characters are. This can be done either through writing their answers on a sheet (for large groups), or simply having an open discussion (small groups).
The team who guesses the most correctly wins.
Tip: Ensure the newspapers are appropriate for use with young people. Remove any inappropriate pages/purchase suitable ones. If newspapers aren't readily available, then magazines can be used.
