Johann Sebastian Joust
Johann Sebastian Joust (more often referred to as Joust) is a physically interactive game, with a digital implement to make the game more interesting. For anyone who has heard of the game 'Ninja', it might be easier to understand what Joust is, if it's described as 'Ninja with controllers'.
Joust is part of a compendium of games called Sportsfriends. The collection consists of 3 other games; Barabariball, Pole Riders, and Hokra, and is available on 'Steam' (The online game store). the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4. All the games in the collection work on all of these gaming platforms, however, Joust cannot work on a PC. Joust also requires a number of PlayStation Controllers, but can also be played with PS3 move controllers.
The aim of the game is to prevent other players from jostling your controller, while attempting to do so to the controllers of other players. If your controller is moved too harshly, then it will turn red and vibrate, indicating you are out of the round. There are a number of layers that can be added to the game to make it more interesting, such as a shield to protect from attacks for a limited time, team games, and even a randomly selected traitor who attacks both the opposing team, and their own team.
